MONTHLY TREND ALERT: SEQUINS

Even though I was born in 1988 and missed the disco era of the '70s, I definitely want to embrace the ever so popular sequin trend that is currently on every runway. I asked my stylist Alexandra to help me incorporate sequins into my wardrobe because if she has taught me anything it's that you cannot sparkle enough! Take a look at the outfit she created below and shop the look.

Sequins are making a major comeback! Fashion and personal style are all about taking risks, feeling fabulous, and being bold. That is just how I wanted Jessica to feel dressed in this spectacular Alix bodysuit paired with simple Levi’s jeans. This combination is over-the-top but in a very wearable manner considering you’re wearing sequins in the daytime. When bold sequins are mixed with a very casual pant this look is completely balanced. Don't be afraid to pair the look with a glam, sparkly statement necklace. I love the idea of mixing two different necklaces for a seriously huge statement. If you're wearing a high t-shirt or turtleneck, the necklace almost looks like it is a part of your top.In the words of Anna Dello Russo “wearing nightclothes in the daytime is… unexpected”.
